Counselling
Counselling sessions
Counselling provides a private space where you can talk openly and be heard without judgement. My approach is relational and integrative, meaning we work together to explore your experiences, emotions, and patterns of thinking at a pace that feels comfortable.
I pay close attention to what is happening in the present moment while also considering how past experiences may influence the way you feel and relate to others now. The therapeutic relationship itself is an important part of this process, offering the opportunity to gain insight, clarity, and new ways of responding to difficulties.
We will regularly review the work to ensure the sessions continue to feel helpful and supportive.

Sessions can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly. We aim to meet at the same time. This consistency supports the therapeutic process and provides a steady rhythm to the work.
How long will I need counselling for?
Some people find a small number of sessions helpful; others prefer to work over a longer period. We will discuss your needs together and review regularly.

About me
Client feedback
Katharine had good listening skills and would give me her honest opinion if I asked for advice about problems I was having. She gave me confidence to express myself and I felt comfortable and reassured by her gentle manner…
It helped to have a balanced approach knowing I had a regular meeting with Katharine reduced the pressure on me, I was able to discuss the events of the past week with her and always felt relieved afterwards
..I discovered profound impacts that exceeded my expectations. I was able to significantly reduce my alcohol consumption, completely quit smoking and reconnect with the little joys of life. This journey has helped me manage my mental health in a much healthier way. A significant factor in my progress was Katharine’s approachable and kind demeanor which created a safe space for me to open up about my personal struggles -something I never thought I was capable of doing. Her support made all the difference…
Katharine was very understanding and empathetic ..over the course of the sessions I began to feel more positive about the current situation and helped me to find better ways to cope
